England’s Football Team Get Their Underwear Pinched at World Cup!

Oh dear, dear, dear… is there no end to the woes that will befall the unlucky England football team this week? Not only have they been soundly thrashed by Germany, robbed of a goal that was rightfully theirs and ejected from the World cup, but their underwear has been nicked as well! Light fingered cleaning staff at the team hotel in South Africa decided to help themselves to all manner of goodies, including team shirts and a whole big pile of designer underpants. Frankly, we can understand the desire to steal David Beckhams underpants – given the opportunity to have a rifle through his drawers (if only!) we’d certainly be looking to bring home a little souvenir to display in the Blokes Undies trophy room. How much might a pair of worn England team undies fetch on ebay? Would anyone be interested in Wayne Rooney’s?? |
Given what footballers frequently put their underpants through on the football pitch, we’re at a bit of a loss to explain why anyone would want to get their hands on them at all! Fortunately, this sorry tale has a happy ending… the perpetrators were caught, and the goodies returned to the England squad. Our would be crime kings were sentenced to 3 years in prison for fingering the England teams underpants.
Ah well, at least the English lads managed to beat someone in South Africa. It’s just a shame it wasn’t on the football pitch!

But do we know if the English team has any official underwear sponsor, or do the players are responsible for their underwear choices themselves?
And another thing…3 years in jail for stealing underwear – seriously, isn’t that a little harsh??
